I love using body wash. As a matter of fact, I prefer it to soap when I am taking a shower or a bath. Some dermatologist recommends not using some soaps because they can dry the skin.  There is nothing like a nice soothing bath after a long stressful day and adding a nice body wash with stress relief ingredients. it is like icing on a cake. I have a thing for scents and I am definitely a fan of anything that makes me smell good for a long time. I especially like to buy lavender body wash and use it before I go to bed because it helps me rest easy. However, not all body wash is created equal. So how do you know what is the best body wash for stress relief?

The Best Body Wash For You?

When looking for the best body wash you are looking for more than just something to suds you up and get you clean. Everyone has different skin types and that is something to keep in mind.

When looking for body wash, any skin type should look for these tips:

Milder cleanser that does not contain lye should be chosen first

  • Bathe in warm or cold water and never hot
  • Use a moisturizer immediately after you dry off
  • Do not over clean, this can dry your skin
  • And look out for signs of dryness, such as redness, flaky skin, and itching.

So here is a list of some of the best body wash that provides stress relief.

Conclusion

Taking a nice shower or bath after a long day is a great way to take a nice breather and wind down before bed, it is also a way for mommy to escape from everyone. Body washes are perfect not only to clean your body but moisturize your skin as well. As you inhale the great scents you will enjoy the benefits of stress relief.

Foam body washes provide more suds than regular body wash or shower gel and are great when you want to take a bubble bath. They also provide long-lasting scents so when you shower in the morning you can take the smell with you all day.

The Aveeno body wash isn’t very good for bubble baths but it provides the most moisture for the skin. Not to mention it is great for sensitive skin and it doesn’t contain soap so you don’t have to worry about it drying out your skin.

So what do you think? Do any of these body washes interest you? Do you have a body wash that you like to use that calms you after a long stressful day? I would love to hear about it or any product recommendations below. As always, any feedback is always welcome!

  1. Very nice and informative article. No doubt, after spending a day, we get stressed and tired and the best thing to destress ourselves is to have a warm bath with essential oil/aromatherapy. This is my Personal experience and I love having relaxing warm bath after I got tired. Thank you so so much for recommendations, as we all are after some good and relaxing body bath/wash after a stressful day. Awesome article, I must say….

    1. Hi Sarah,
I too love a warm relaxing bath after a long stressful day and the aroma from the essential oils are so relaxing. It is one of the easiest ways to get some time to yourself and you can meditate or read a book plus for me, it helps with my back. Thanks for the comment.

  2. Showering should be this pleasant, relaxing experience full of good smells! Boring skin-drying soap can be a thing of the past forever. I love the cedarwood sage body wash- I actually used this one and it makes everything smell amazing. For people who haven’t yet transformed their shower experience, it’s totally worth it.

    1. Hi Penelope,
I absolutely agree the shower is a time for pampering. I love body washes so much my daughter already uses them. We pick out our favorite which is always a lavender bath wash and she uses her own. I totally agree it is worth it! 🙂
